Could A “Shooter Stable” Be Headed To WWE Smackdown Live?, New Match Announced For Tonight’s Impact Wrestling

Could A “Shooter Stable” Be Headed To SD Live?

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting that WWE is currently considering putting together a “shooter’s stable” on Smackdown Live once Shelton Benjamin returns from rotator cuff surgery in around six months.

The stable would consist on Benjamin, Jack Swagger and Dolph Ziggler and would be something along the old Varsity Club stable in WCW that consisted of Rick Steiner, Mike Rotunda, Steve Williams, Dan Spivey and Kevin Sullivan.

Originally American Alpha’s Chad Gable was tapped to lead a shooters styled group in NXT. Vince McMahon reportedly nixed the idea because he does not like those kind of gimmicks because he thinks it would hurt everyone involved.
