Update On The Rock In Upcoming WWE Studios Film
IMDB.com is reporting that the upcoming WWE Studios film “The Fall Guy” has gone in to pre-production. This will be the first WWE Studios film that will feature Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.
The film was first optioned in July 2010 and then went through script changes from 2011-2014. The Rock signed on to do the film in September of 2013.
It will be an action movie about a Hollywood stunt man who uses his daredevil skills to moonlight as a bounty hunter.
WWE Studios Film To Open San Diego Film Festival
Variety is reporting that the WWE Studios film “Killing Hasselhoff” will open the San Diego Film Festival on September 28th.
The film is a dark comedy about a struggling nightclub owner in debt to a loan shark who decides to pay off the debt by winning his long-running celebrity death pool by offing his chosen celebrity: David Hasselhoff.
It stars Ken Jeong, Rhys Darby, Jon Lovitz and Colton Dunn. It is the same film that ended up being delayed due to scenes featuring Hulk Hogan that had to be edited out following Hogan’s racially controversial comments being made public.
