The Latest on More Former WWE Stars Possibly Returning
As seen on WWE Smackdown last night, Rhyno made his return to the WWE main roster, and a video package ran announcing former IC and U.S. Champion Shelton Benjamin will also be returning to WWE on the Blue Brand.
We noted earlier today that former 3MB member Jinder Mahal has signed a new WWE deal and will be returning to the company, and according to PWInsider.com more former WWE stars are likely headed back to the company.
Names rumored to be returning for the new brand split are Curt Hawkins, Tommy Dreamer, Melina, MVP and Carlito. Should Hawkins return he will likely join the Smackdown roster.
Backstage Update on Speculation That Triple H Booked WWE TV This Week
Due to the big wins for Sasha Banks, Finn Balor, Apollo Crews and Dolph Ziggler on WWE TV this week, there has been a lot of speculation that Triple H might have had a hand in booking this week’s shows, as the NXT stars looked very strong on Monday and Tuesday night. Dave Meltzer clarified the speculation and reaffirmed that Vince McMahon is still in control of booking WWE TV:
