Reby Sky Responds Harshly To SoCal Val’s Maxel / Final Deletion Comments, Praises TNA For Protecting Her Family at Work and More

Reby Sky, Impact Wrestling talent and wife of Matt Hardy, spoke out and posted the following comments in response to SoCal Val’s opinion of the Hardys’ son, Maxel, being included on-air as part of TNA’s ‘The Final Deletion’ angle.

SoCal Val was a guest on the Wrestlezone Daily show earlier today, and said she was not a fan of how the Final Deletion was presented, and she did not agree with having a child used as an on-air talent. Reby responded to these remarks, defending her family as well as praising TNA for accomodating them and providing a safe working environment for them.

SoCal Val’s original transcribed comments on what she thinks of the Final Deletion storyline are below:

I am so flabbergasted that this stuff is going on. I have to say, I haven’t watched a ton of wrestling, honestly, being in England about 80% of the time. RAW comes on at 1 am. TNA is just on a different day and I am usually busy. So, I haven’t watched a lot of TNA in quite awhile. I haven’t seen a full episode in awhile either, I’ll preface it with that. I’ll also preface this with the fact that I love The Hardy Boys. Jeff Hardy was my favorites for years. I love both of them. As people they are amazing. I love them. I love their families. All of that. Now, let’s just put all of that fairy dust away and get to the nitty gritty here. It seems insane. It’s kind of like Donald Trump in the sense that I thought they were kidding. It turns out they aren’t but I wish they were. Everything that I see is just out of control. The only thing I can think of other than the fact that they’ve both gone insane is that they figure that all they are trying to do is get ratings. They feel like if they do something that is over the top ridiculous and kind of terrible that maybe it will get ratings. I am just being very honest. I love them both but I have a big problem with the fact that it’s supposed to be theatrical and to me it’s not theatrical. To me it doesn’t seem like a very well thought out thing. It seems like they are trying to just have these weird accents. I think it’s cool the way they are filming it. I like the Hardy compound and all that. It’s just so ridiculously over the top that it’s gone to the side of comical and I feel like it’s difficult to watch. I feel like it’s painful to watch. I thought, “What the hell are they doing?” I have to say my main gripe and I don’t want to talk badly about anyone’s family or anything like that but if they were in front of me I would be just as honest. That’s how I live my life. If you’re going to say something you have to back it up and I understand fully what I am about to say. Get your children off TV. I am not a fan of anyone putting their real life family on there. Especially a baby who is bouncing down the ramp on a TV show. I had somebody on Twitter say, “What’s the difference between that and a child actor?” There’s a lot different. This is a violent show. This is a storyline where she is throwing a baby. I absolutely do not think you should put your child in that position. She didn’t throw an actual baby but you know what I am saying. It’s not funny. It’s wrong. They can’t choose for themselves. They’re going to get asked about it later. I hate it. All of the TNA stuff that they made me do with children. When they put their real life children… I love the people who did it. I don’t know why they did it. If they asked me to my face I would say the same thing. Do not put your family on TV in wrestling. These are babies. I think it’s completely inappropriate and I hate that. That’s all I have to say. I feel bad because I don’t want people to think I’m rude about it but that’s absolutely how I feel.
