In today’s WrestleTalk News, Goldberg reveals whether he has had talks about a wrestling return to WWE off the back of his WWE 2K17 deal, and a reaction to TNA’s bizarre closing segment last night – the ‘Final Deletion’ mini-movie match between Matt and Jeff ‘BROTHER NERO’ Hardy.

Our top story today is Goldberg’s comments on whether he’ll be returning to WWE for the brand split and a possible Hall of Fame induction, but first – some sad news to start with. TNA killed wrestling last night.
The exact time of death was 11pm EST following the much hyped Final Deletion match between Matt and Jeff Hardy on Impact Wrestling. For those of you who haven’t been keeping up to date with the Brother Nero feud: Matt Hardy has gone crazy, Jeff beat him at Slammiversary last month, and it’s all culminated in a 12 minute match mini-movie called ‘Final Deletion’ filmed at Matt’s house that concluded last night’s Impact Wrestling.
Thing is, these weren’t Lucha Underground production values. It was shot like a student film – complete with out of focus shots, people audibly coughing in the background, needless slow motion and a constant action movie soundtrack.
As you can tell, I wasn’t really a fan. It transcended ‘so bad it’s good’ and became pretty much just bad. But let’s see what Twitter thought:
The Nightshark said: “what in the f*** did I just watch? Please just disappear.”
And Jeph Crawford decided: “this has been one of the dumbest things I’ve ever seen in wrestling. Just…bad. Worse than Arquette in WCW bad.”
But not everyone shared my intense rage towards the segment. Double J tweeted:
“That was an absolute work of art. One of the greatest moments in tv history.”
While none other than TNA Knockout Gail Kim praised:
“I always think how can these two top the last thing that they did and then they do it.”
Some online commentators even reckon WWE are copying the Final Deletion idea and using it in the New Day/Wyatt Family feud developing at the moment – with Bray challenging Kofi, Big E. and Xavier to come to his ‘compound’ being similar to Brother Nero fighting Matt at his house.
Whether you found humour in Final Deletion, or thought it was the sign of a nationally televised wrestling promotion giving up, you can’t deny that people are talking about TNA.
