Stephanie McMahon booked The Miz to defend his Intercontinental Championship on RAW tonight after a segment with Kane.
The segment started with Kane approaching Stephanie about running Smackdown, but she says that’s her job. The Miz and Maryse return from shooting their new Marine film, and Miz complains about not being treated like a star. Miz says he wants better after being on hiatus for 30 days, and Kane reminds him of the 30 day title defense clause. He says Miz should defend the title tonight and Stephanie agrees, and tells him he will have a mystery opponent later tonight.

PWG confirmed Cody Rhodes is the first entrant in the 2016 Battle of Los Angeles tournament, which is scheduled to take place on 9/2, 9/3 and 9/4 in Reseda, California.
