Shane McMahon is back in charge of Raw tonight. Shane kicks off the show in the ring to address the crowd.
Shane says he is back in charge because of the unbelievable amount of support he has gotten from the fans. Shane wants to continue his streak of new stuff: Natalya will face Charlotte tonight for the Women’s championship. There will be a tournament to determine the number one contender for the WWE tag team championship. Since Sami Zayn had his opportunity at being number one contender for the WWE title taken away, tonight he will face AJ Styles. If Zayn wins, he will be added to the WWE title match at Payback, making it a triple threat match.
Kevin Owens walks out and tells Shane he must have knocked a few screws loose when he jumped off the cell at WrestleMania. Owens says he is being screwed over. Shane says Owens screwed Zayn last week. Shane goes on to say that Owens had his opportunities. Owens says he hasn’t even gotten his rematch for the Intercontinental title. Owens wants his shot against The Miz right now. Shane tells Owens that is not how things work here tonight. If Owens wants a IC title shot, he has to defeat Cesaro right now. If Cesaro wins, he will get the shot against Miz.
