Shinsuke Nakamura
As noted earlier, Shinsuke Nakamura used the Bomaye to defeat Sami Zayn at NXT Takeover, but it is now being referred to as the Kinshasa from now on.
An interesting note about the name change (h/t to Enuhito), as it is indirectly tied to Muhammad Ali, and Nakamura’s mentor and Japanese wrestling legend Antonio Inoki. Kinshasa is the city in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (then known as Zaire) where Ali’s “Rumble In The Jungle” fight with George Foreman took place, and fans in the crowd can be heard chanting “Ali Bomaye”.
The phrase when translated means “kill him” in the Lingala language, and Ali later honored with the same phrase, and Nakamura then used Bomaye as a tribute to Inoki.
