Making A Murderer
Wrestlezone Radio contributor and Pro Wrestling Sheet editor-in-chief Ryan Satin is reporting independent wrestler Zicky Dice is selling a new shirt inspired by the Netflix documentary series ‘Making A Murderer’.
Dice created the shirt to create awareness of the show (and to make some money) after Brendan Dassey, convicted of murder and serving a life sentence, complained to his mother that he couldn’t watch Wrestlemania in jail. Dice’s shirt features a photo of Dassey with the Wrestlemania logo and the year 2048, which is when he’s eligible for parole.
Dice told Pro Wrestling Sheet the shirt isn’t just to poke fun at the scene from the show, however, and he says he truly wants more people to start talking about what happened in this particular case. Dice said:
“It’s up to us, the people, to stand together and fight for what is right. Ask questions. Start talking. Use your head.”
For those unaware, Dassey was convicted in 2007 in the case of Teresa Halbach‘s murder and charged with homicide, mutilation of a corpse and sexual assault in the second degree. The documentary disputes some of the events though, making it appear as if Dassey was coerced into a confession by investigators, when he really didn’t commit these crimes. The shirt can be purchased here.
Michael Tarver
Additionally, Pro Wrestling Sheet is reporting former WWE star and Nexus member Michael Tarver name-drops John Cena in a new rap song about his 2011 WWE release.
The track on Tarver’s new album is called “I Can’t Stop”, and it sounds like his ‘beef’ with Cena had nothing to do with with his firing. After Tarver was released from WWE, he had been very outspoken about his feelings towards Cena, even claiming Cena laughed backstage and didn’t feel bad about breaking Tarver’s arm. You can read the lyrics (courtesy of Pro Wrestling Sheet) below and click here to listen to a sample of the track.
“Everybody dropped me, thought I had beef with John Cena.
But the truth is they dont know me.
At the same time I was losing a marriage,
Tried suicide I was losing my mind.
Then I realized all of this not my plan,
And I’m glad GOD is not like man.”
