NXT Stars At Smackdown Tapings
According to fan reports sent in to Wrestlezone, current NXT Champion Finn Balor and Samoa Joe were present at tonight’s WWE Smackdown tapings in Providence, Rhode Island.
Finn and Joe defeated The Lucha Dragons in a match that took place in between the Main Event and SmackDown tapings. It was noted that NXT graphics were on display in the arena; it was likely a dark match, but one fan noted he thought something was announced for the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic, although that remains unconfirmed.
As noted this weekend, NXT will host the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic, with the finals taking place at the next NXT TakeOver special on Wednesday, October 7th. No other details for participants or rules have been announced.
