WWE announced that the man formerly known as Uhaa Nation on the indpendent circuit has a new in-ring name, as well as a confirmed debut date.
As noted on this week’s episode of NXT on WWE Network, Uhaa will now be known as “Apollo Crews”. He will make his official WWE NXT debut at the NXT Takeover live event in Brooklyn, New York on August 22nd.

It should be noted this is being promoted as Crews’ debut for NXT, but he has been working live events the past several months. He made his WWE television debut back in May, when he was featured in a backstage segment signing a contract with general manager William Regal. It’s been widely expected that once Crews did make his debut he would be given a new ring name.
