This week’s episode of Monday Night Raw brought in an average of 3.99 million viewers. The show was advertised as the “season premiere” of WWE Raw, and featured two SummerSlam rematches including one steel cage match, and celebrity talk show host Jerry Springer.
Last week’s predictably low Labor Day episode did 3.92 in comparison. It was the highest number in three weeks, but only by about 13,000 fans. While this may look low, it’s actually a bit higher than most were anticipating, with the NFL return of Monday Night Football doing a massive 13.7 million and 11.5 million viewers for their double-header opening. For perspective, the 9/9 edition of WWE Raw in 2013 did 3.89 million viewers, so this year is actually slightly ahead of projections.
We hope to have a final rating by the end of the day.
