Sting Ends the Main Event Mafia; Did the Aces & Eights Vote to Break Up?

StingNo More Mafia

Tonight on Impact Wrestling, TNA Hall of Famer "The Icon" Sting announced the end of the Main Event Mafia, which until this week also included Magnus, Kurt Angle and Samoa Joe. Sting claimed their goals had been met – 1) Bully Ray is no longer the World Heavyweight Champion, and 2) the Aces & Eights are no longer a threat. Magnus, Angle and Joe will all compete to become the new TNA World Heavyweight Champion in a tournament announced last week.

Aces & Eights No More?

In the same night, Ken Anderson continued to stir the pot and insight drama between the Aces & Eights. The club held an emergency meeting on Impact tonight, to determine the future of the faction. Garrett Bischoff, Knux and Taz all voted to hang up their colors, effectively ending the Aces & Eights, however in a swerve, the club returned to attack Anderson and beat him down in the middle of the ring. It appears, at least for now, that the Aces & Eights will continue their now 17-month reign on Impact Wrestling.
