Former professional wrestler Chris Nowinski is featured in an article by the Eagle Tribune, highlighting his non-profit work in the field of concussions, and in particular the potentially deadly "concussion syndrome" condition.
The article goes into detail about Nowinksi's career in WWE, and the more than ten concussions he claims to have suffered throughout his year, dealing with headaches every day for five years. “I ended up needing to be sedated every night so I could sleep. A drug sleep is not a good one. I woke a lot of times in the middle of the night thinking I was choking to death. It was bad, really bad.”
Chris Nowinski will be hosting a presentation at the Andover Country Club this Tuesday night in Andover, MA with all donations going towards his non-profit foundation for the continued research and treatment of concussions.
