Last weekend several TNA Superstars competed in Héroes Inmortales, a AAA Pay-Per-View which took place in Monterrey, Mexico. Current AAA World Heavyweight Champion Jeff Jarrett lost in a gauntlet match that also featured Magnus and El Zorro, who has been signed to a non-exclusive TNA contract and is currently waiting to make his debut. Abyss also competed in a Tag Team TLC match against former TNA talent Jack Evans, Velvet Sky won a 6 women tag team match, and Sting made his AAA debut against former TNA talent Judas Mesias.
TNA has a close working relationship with AAA which allows them to exchange talents that appear on PPV events as well as televised tapings. This is the same company that had a very brief partnership with the then-WWF in 1997.
Side note: Many have been asking what championship belt Jeff Jarrett has been holding during episodes of Impact Wrestling. While Jarrett is the current holder of the AAA World Heavyweight Championship, the actual belt he is seen with in TNA is a custom title that management believes to better represent their relationship with AAA to an American market. The actual AAA title looks like a standard Heavyweight championship, which Jarrett believes would be too confusing to casual fans of the show.
