After last week’s scary 3.0 rating, RAW did a 3.7 this week off hours of 3.8 and 3.6. While the big jump is a positive, the fact that the show once again lost viewers from hour one to hour two is not. In weekend ratings, Velocity did a 0.6, Experience did a 0.6, and Heat did a 0.7.
WWE has launched a mini area on its WWE.com website which gives a video history of the Evolution of the Evolution factor, from the first time they all were on screen together up to Taboo Tuesday.
WWE.com is reporting that the Big Show will be appearing on “Star Trek Enterprise” this Friday at 8pm ET on UPN.
The biggest conversation over the past two days backstage at both RAW and SmackDown was said to concern the overall quality of the new WWE produced “Rise & Fall of ECW” DVD. Many former ECW stars are praising the DVD and feel the company gave it its due instead of rewriting history to their benefit. It is even being said that it is one of the best produced WWE DVD’s in a long time. The documentary itself runs about three hours long.
On a related note, Eric Bischoff makes an appearance on the DVD and claims he never stole any concepts from ECW. His comments are followed up by clips of a hardcore match from a WCW event shortly after, proving that he wasn’t exactly truthful in that department.
WWE has gone and put a short video documentary (3 min 10 sec) of the Shawn Michaels surgery. I should warn that it is rather graphic footage and they are showing the graphic parts of the surgery. The doctor went and voiced over for WWE during the surgery. Shawn looked in good sprits and they showed Shawn’s wife numerous times in the video but they don’t say it is her. It is available on the WWE.com website under the Featured Photo and Video Section.
