Besides BG James, Kevin Nash’s Impact! promo also cut the ring entrance of Kid Kash, Kazarian, and Michael Shane for their six-man tag team match. With even enhancement talent getting ring entrances these days on the show, Kash, Shane, and Kazarian were not pleased. Shane was reported to have started yelling at Bob Ryder backstage and expressing his frustration about how the promo, which took ten takes to film, didn’t even make it onto the show.
It looks like Monty Brown has to take a backseat to Diamond Dallas Page. During his match at the Impact! tv tapings, all the focus from fans were on DDP, despite the fact that Brown won his bout and was trying very hard to get the crowd to pop for him. Even the ring announcer was focused on DDP, telling fans to “Welcome the newest member of TNA”.
