Backstage Notes In TNA; Rhodes; Cuts, Jarrett; & Lots More

– Many wrestlers within TNA are happy to see Dusty Rhodes take over for Jeff Jarrett as booker. However, many were not too happy that Jerry Jarrett now has more power backstage. One wrestler even predicted that “If Jerry Jarrett is more involved, everyone will take a pay cut.” Many wrestlers fear Jerry’s increased role could mean budget cuts, and none of the wrestlers know how it will effect them.

– Although Dusty Rhodes has given Hall and Nash a vote of confidence in front of the wrestlers, some backstage feel Rhodes and Nash will have problems down the road, especially if (or when, in some people’s opinion) Rhodes wants to use Nash to elevate another wrestler.

– In Dusty Rhodes’ first meeting with the wrestlers, he upset some wrestlers by saying that Hall, Nash and Savage were the reasons why people bought Victory Road. The wrestlers were angry since Savage wasn’t even advertised for the pay-per-view, and noted that there are guys who have been with the company for a while that probably also helped with selling the PPV. Rhodes also said complaining backstage would no longer be tolerated. This is interesting, because he wouldn’t have the job if everyone hadn’t complained about Jeff Jarrett’s booking in the first place.
