The reason behind Paul Heyman being dismissed was previously thought to be because he was outspoken, but that may not be the case
Apparently Heyman was dismissed for listening in too a Raw booking meeting without permission. Heyman was allowed access to Smackdown! booking meetings, but not Raw. Before each Raw the group of writers take part in conference calls, so that they can shoot around and discuss ideas about Raw.
Roll is taken at the beginning of each conference call. A system is in place to announce when anyone joins the conference call or when someone hangs up. Unexpectedly during a recent Raw booking meeting the system announced that a person had left. Stephanie began to take roll and everyone was present.
The WWE was fearful that someone had breached their system, but when they were able to track down the phone number into the conference call, it came back to Paul Heyman. This was apparently the last straw in the back for Heyman and he was put on leave of absence by Stephanie McMahon.
It is still uncertain whether or not this leave will be permanant or if a door is open for Heyman’s return. Vince McMahon basically had to convince Stephanie to let Heyman back on the booking team the last time there were problems and she was very reluctant to do so, but this time it may be impossible to convince Stephanie that Heyman is trustworthy enough to be on the booking team.
It may not be helping that Heyman is playing this situation as if he was removed because he is outspoken, because as it has turned out it was purely because of trustworthy issues.
