IPW:UK To Welcome RoH, CZW or IWS Star?; more

PRESS RELEASE

FOR IMMEDIATE DISTRIBUTION

  • Aviv Close To Choosing Point?

» After call upon call upon call, after meeting with Aviv Maayan at an afternoon show today, he informed IPW that he has whittled down the list of people he will be trying to convince to fight with him against Super Dragon & Stevie Douglas at Return to the Dragon.

The fiery young Welshman said that he has “got it down to five”. Rumours so far have stated that they would be from The Wrestling Channel’s “International Showdown” event the night before, but Maayan has said he is looking past that and instead trying to find somebody a little more familiar with Dragon from his work in CZW, IWS, JAPW or the home federation of PWG.

Maayan was intrigued however, at the suggestion that a special stipulation will be placed on his No DQ, No Countout Tag Tornado match and wanted the inside scoop on it to help his bargaining tactics. He is also requesting that Tarquin Bayle be banned from ringside for the team of Douglas/Dragon, something IPW:UK matchmakers have decided to not comment on currently.

  • The Beaten Superstar Quitting?

» Producing only one win in his four tries in IPW:UK competition, Tony Sefton is said to be immensely frustrated and even threatened to quit the company in an argument with the IPW:UK promoters after Best of British 1. In an attempt to keep Tony cool, it’s understood that he will be allowed to suggest whom he should face to try and improve his flailing win/loss record at Return of the Dragon. Will Sefton try and out-shine a big gun, or boost morale against a debutant?

    In Other News:

    — As this press release goes to print, it is thought that both Extreme Measures and Show 2! DVDs are out of stock. Precise updates will be posted on the ipwuk.com newsboard after today’s shipments have gone out, but it is expected that any new orders may now have to wait for re-stocking.

    — IPW:UK management are toying with the idea of a 15 minute time limit ‘welcome’ match for fans as they make their way into the venue. These matches would then be aired in full as DVD extras.

  • Therefore the current card stands as:

No DQ, No Countout Tornado Tag Team Match

‘New Superstar’ Stevie Douglas & PWG Champion Super Dragon vs. Best of British: High Flyers Winner Aviv Maayan & An International Partner Of His Choosing

    The Round Robin Tournament

    feat. Spud, ??? & ???

    Tony ‘Superstar’ Sefton vs. ???

Plus former Ring of Honor Champion Samoa Joe and many more.
