– Buyrates for the March 13th TNA PPV, Destination X, were down about 10,000 buys from the previous TNA events. There is pressure on Dusty Rhodes to get the buyrates back up for the next PPV.
– Dusty’s son, Dustin Rhodes was very upset at Kevin Nash for some comments he made in a recent interview. He didn’t acknowledge him at all at the recent tapings.
– In regards to the “Torch Talk” interview that Kevin Nash conducted with Wade Keller making many negative comments about the state of TNA, the comment that stood out the most to many was that he wasn’t expecting to participate at the next TV taping or PPV event. When Nash did show up on April 5th for the tapings in Orlando at Universal Studios, he was treated differently by many people due to his rather outspoken thoughts regarding head booker Dusty Rhodes. However, many of Nash’s comments did hit home with numerous TNA officials and they “ordered” Rhodes to become more urban with his booking instead of the way it was.
– At that point, Dusty changed his approached to the booking and was said to be more friendly and open-minded than usual. As noted earlier this week, Rhodes eliminated his pick-up truck office from the tapings, but was spotted going back to his old ways of making sarcastic remarks to wrestlers asking them if he was listening to their concerns. It should be noted that a good number of people walked up to Nash backstage and thanked him for saying the things he did about Dusty’s booking, more so those who couldn’t get away with the things he said from a political standpoint. One TNA wrestler added, “It’s clear Dusty’s afraid of Kevin Nash. Dusty’s on limited time at this point, or at least that’s what everyone seems to believe.”
