Rick Steiner worked a tag team match at the Southern Championship Wrestling event over the weekend. Steiner teamed with Erick Stevens against the team of Walker & Dustin Rhodes. We’re told Steiner taped his fists beforehand in a way where they wouldn’t protect his opponents and came to the ring pretty much looking for a fight. During the bout, Steiner tried to choke out Vordell Walker but he was able to get out. At that point, Walker basically told Steiner that he had enough and the two started fighting for real on the floor. It tuned out that Walker and Stevens both walked out on the match leaving a match leaving Steiner and Rhodes to face each other in an impromptu match. Stevens left the arena immediately without changing his ring gear.
Jeff Jarrett informed the NWA Cyberspace promotion on Saturday that he wouldn’t be appearing at their event that afternoon. The event started at 4PM which was very short notice for him to give. Several sources have stated he claimed he had a concussion that he suffered at Hard Justice but he did work the Impact! taping two days later. That was the word making the roungs. (PWInsider)
