WWE‘s Cody Rhodes believes fans might stop caring about the product due to “overload of information.”
Speaking to SmackDown’s Kit Wilson on his What Do You Wanna Talk About? podcast, reigning Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes expressed concern that fans might lose interest in the product because of wrestling promotions giving out too much insider information.
“Now, everything is documented. It’s scary. It’s scary, but it also holds you accountable. I’m in my head about some of the things of late, where every single piece of WWE right now, and every wrestling company, somebody needs to share and put it out there,” Cody Rhodes said.
“I think what’s going to happen is an overload of information to the point where fans just stop caring. ‘I watch the show, I like the show, I like this guy, I don’t like that guy.’ I don’t need to know how many people were in the seats. It’s wild. I don’t know who is keeping all these records, but I’m getting tired of, ‘What do we need this for? Who is this for?’” Cody Rhodes said. [H/T Cultaholic]
Cody Rhodes successfully defended the Undisputed WWE Championship against Randy Orton at WrestleMania 42, but walked out of the match with a gruesome eye injury. He has now entered a rivalry with Gunther, who attacked and choked him out on last week’s episode of SmackDown.
