Sol Ruca WWE RAW Debut Met With Surprising Criticism

Sol Ruca’s WWE RAW debut received some surprising criticism from fans.

This week’s episode of WWE RAW featured former NXT Women’s North American Champion Sol Ruca signing her official contract with the red brand. She also appears to have started a program with Women’s Intercontinental Champion Becky Lynch, who interrupted the segment and took a Sol Snatcher for good measure, though Ruca botched the execution.

Most fans were happy to see the NXT star make her WWE RAW debut. However, her new theme song received some criticism on social media, with a few saying she’s been “Def REBEL’d.” This criticism is misguided, as Def Rebel also did her original theme as well.

“WWE JUST DEF REBEL’D SOL RUCA,” a fan posted.

It appears Sol Ruca’s new theme has been in the works for months, along with a character change, as a fan quoted the report on X/Twitter, claiming that Ruca’s father, musician Paul A Hampton, wrote the song.

“Some people may not know that her theme song is made by her dad to her as a “gift” when she was signed by WWE. If they will not turn her heel, I don’t see why change her theme,” the fan wrote.

However, it’s not the same as the original track, “She’ll Snatch Your Soul,” which was written by Ruca’s father to congratulate her on signing with WWE.
