WWE will present its Backlash Premium Live Event on Saturday, May 9, from the Benchmark International Arena in Tampa.
The event has five matches confirmed for the show so far. WWE has also confirmed which matches will air on the ESPN 2 simulcast of the event. The first hour of the event will air on ESPN 2, followed by the full WWE Backlash event on the ESPN app (subscription required).
WWE has confirmed that the following matches will air during the first hour of WWE Backlash on ESPN 2:
- Seth Rollins vs. Bron Breakker
- Trick Williams (w/ Lil Yachty) vs. Sami Zayn – WWE United States Championship
This is the second consecutive month that ESPN will air matches as part of a simulcast on ESPN 2. The WrestleMania 42 Saturday matches featuring The Usos and LA Knight vs. Logan Paul, Austin Theory and IShowSpeed, and Jacob Fatu defeated Drew McIntyre aired on ESPN 2. (The network also aired two WrestleMania Sunday night matches, Brock Lesnar vs. Oba Femi and the six-pack WWE Intercontinental Championship ladder match, on the flagship ESPN channel.)

Roman Reigns (c) vs. Jacob Fatu – World Heavyweight Championship
