Roman Reigns’ WWE RAW Removal Explained As Clerical Error — REPORT

Roman Reigns being quietly removed from several advertised June episodes of WWE Raw raised eyebrows over the weekend. Nevertheless, the situation may not be what it first seemed.

According to PWInsider, the change stems from an internal mistake rather than any creative shift or contract concern.

The Tribal Chief may have found himself taken off the board — but not because of any backstage power struggle.

WWE reportedly confirms Roman Reigns’ appearance advertised by mistake

PWInsider reported that Reigns’ initial inclusion in June advertising was incorrect. The error traced back to scheduling confusion on the part of TKO Group Holdings and WWE. Mike Johnson noted it was simply “a clerical error,” ruling out any issues tied to Reigns’ deal heading into WrestleMania 42.

The update comes after fans noticed the World Heavyweight Champion did not appear on promotional materials, sparking speculation about possible friction or changes to his contract. However, reports make it clear this isn’t a case of creative differences or a deal gone sideways — more a paperwork botch than a storyline swerve.

Further context emerged from Wrestling Observer, where Dave Meltzer indicated Roman Reigns is not currently scheduled for Night of Champions on June 27 in Riyadh. As a result, there would be little reason for him to appear on the RAW episodes building toward that event. Still, those plans could shift depending on the outcome of his upcoming title defense.

Reigns defends the WWE World Heavyweight Championship against Jacob Fatu at Backlash this Saturday in Tampa. He’s also advertised for all May episodes of RAW. This includes a scheduled contract signing on tonight’s show in Omaha.

For now, it appears Reigns hasn’t been “removed” so much as mistakenly booked. This proves that even WWE’s biggest star isn’t immune to a rare administrative slip. As the road to Backlash continues, his summer schedule may yet be rewritten — this time, hopefully without needing an eraser.
