Mark Henry Explains Why He Prefers Two-Night WrestleMania

Mark Henry shared his opinion on WrestleMania’s format and said he prefers the two-night structure.

The format has been in place since WrestleMania 36 in 2020. That change first happened due to the COVID-19 situation. Since then, WWE has continued with two nights every year. The two-night setup allowed more matches and main events. It also gave more wrestlers a chance to appear on the show.

Mark Henry spoke about that topic, explaining why he prefers the current format. The focus was on viewing experience and show length.

Mark Henry says two-night WrestleMania works better for fans

Speaking with the Toronto Sun, Mark Henry said he does not support going back to one night. He pointed to the length of the event as the main reason.

“I don’t. I think it sucks to be anywhere for five and a half six hours. And you know, like I love food, but I can’t eat for 5 hours. I like movies but after even the longest, drawn-out movies — if it’s two and a half, three hours, I’m going to sleep. I’m gonna miss that last two hours of that movie.”

Henry also spoke about the physical side of long shows. He said extended events can be uncomfortable for fans watching live.

“You have to have things in a place where you’re not hurting yourself. And that’s what two nights does. I’m a big fan of AEW. But sometimes you look at a AEW PPV, it’s 5 hours. Man, your butt starts tingling from sitting so long, you know? I mean, you get cramps. So, it’s been done before, we’ve experienced it. I don’t want to go back to that.” [H/T: 411mania]
