Roman Reigns on Rare Weekly WWE Run for First Time in Years

Roman Reigns is quietly putting together something fans haven’t seen in years — a consistent weekly presence on WWE Raw. Another appearance is expected following the April 27 episode.

The shift comes in the weeks after WrestleMania 42. Nevertheless, the full picture of this run is only starting to come into focus.

Roman Reigns’ weekly RAW appearances signal a major WWE shift

Since capturing the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania 42, Reigns has appeared regularly on Raw. His latest appearance marks what is being counted as his fourth consecutive appearance when including the pre-WrestleMania build.

For a star long billed as a “special attraction,” this is less part-time and more prime time — a rare booking twist for “The Original Tribal Chief.”

Historically, the World Heavyweight Champion has limited his schedule, especially during his dominant run from 2020 to 2024. Outside of isolated stretches — like a brief run in 2021 — weekly Raw appearances were about as rare as a clean finish in a Bloodline feud. This current stretch, however, suggests a deliberate change in direction following his title win.

The April 27 Raw episode added fuel to that fire. Jacob Fatu confronted Reigns in a tense segment that quickly turned physical, ending with Fatu standing tall after a Tongan Death Grip. Reigns later accepted the challenge for a World Heavyweight Championship match at Backlash on May 9 in Tampa.

Although Reigns isn’t officially advertised for the May 4 Raw in Omaha, Fatu made it clear he won’t wait until the premium live event, hinting at another showdown. It is understood that this could lead to yet another weekly appearance — continuing a streak that has already broken expectations. As now @WrestlingWCC confirming that Reigns is set to make his fourth consecutive Raw appearance next week.

With Backlash approaching, Reigns isn’t just showing up — he’s showing out. And for now, the Tribal Chief’s schedule is less “acknowledge me” and more “expect me.”
