Nick Hogan recently spoke about the chances of a biopic on his father, Hulk Hogan. This comes after the release of Hulk Hogan: Real American. The docuseries dropped last week on Netflix and brought Hogan’s story back into focus again. It also brought up the idea of a Hulk Hogan movie that once almost happened.
A few years ago, a biopic was in the works. Big names were attached, as Todd Phillips was set to direct and Chris Hemsworth was expected to play Hulk Hogan. But then things changed. The project got cancelled before it could move forward.
Now, things feel a little different. The docuseries brought attention back, and Nick Hogan believes the idea is not completely gone yet.
Nick Hogan weighs in on Chris Hemsworth playing Hulk Hogan
Speaking on 83 Weeks with Eric Bischoff, Nick Hogan shared his thoughts on the possible biopic. He was asked whether the success of the docuseries could bring the project back to life. Nick responded with optimism.
“I definitely think there’s potential for that. I think there’s absolutely potential. You know, when all that talk was happening about Chris Hemsworth, I thought that was really cool because I’m a huge Chris Hemsworth fan. I love the Thor movies. I love all of his projects.
“He just had another film come out that’s fantastic. And he’s just an excellent actor. And, you know, his physique and the way he looks, I mean, he would play a great Hulk Hogan. So, that would be really cool. And, you know, even if it wasn’t him or it was a different project, I think that there’s a lot of meat on the bone there for this story to be told in that way. And I would really love to see that. And I think it’s definitely possible.”
