WWE Provides Concerning Injury Update on Stephanie Vaquer After RAW Backstage Attack

The April 27, 2026 episode of WWE RAW saw former Women’s World Champion Stephanie Vaquer being ambushed by The Judgment Day. The attack was sudden, and Vaquer didn’t get a chance to defend herself. Later, WWE gave an update on her injury status.

This injury adds another chapter to Vaquer’s feud with The Judgment Day, which has been heating up since the road to WrestleMania 42. At the event, Vaquer lost her Women’s World Title to Liv Morgan after interference from Rodriguez and Perez, ending her 210-day reign. The finish was controversial and led to Vaquer demanding a rematch.

Now, this week on RAW, the attack happened backstage while Vaquer was walking through the arena. Just then, Raquel Rodriguez, Roxanne Perez, and current champion Liv Morgan suddenly jumped her.

Rodriguez punched and threw Vaquer into a road case to start things off. Then Perez slammed another crate into Vaquer’s shoulder while Rodriguez was holding her. As Vaquer was down in pain, Morgan stood over her, grabbed her hair, and mocked her, saying it’s her title now.

The segment ended with Vaquer lying on the floor, unable to move, making it look very serious. Referee Jessika Carr and other officials then came to offer help.

Later in the show, WWE gave an official injury update. During a tag team match featuring Bayley and Lyra Valkyria vs. Rodriguez and Perez, Michael Cole revealed that Vaquer had suffered a “second-degree AC sprain” in her shoulder. He added that she would be out of action for some time, meaning she won’t be on TV for a while.

This lines up with reports that WWE used this attack to write her off for a while.

This latest attack feels like a major turning point. Vaquer has become a big star very quickly, so her absence will definitely be felt on RAW. At the same time, it looks like WWE is saving her for a big return later.
