WWE SmackDown Returning To Two-Hour Format Soon — Report

WWE SmackDown is reportedly set to return to its original runtime.

According to F4WOnline.com’s Dave Meltzer, speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, the blue brand will soon revert to a two-hour format. SmackDown currently airs as a three-hour show on the USA Network, with Netflix handling international streaming.

Meltzer noted that the timing of the change is expected to align with the second season of Braun Strowman’s show, Everything on the Menu, another USA Network production. While no exact date was provided, a separate report from Bodyslam (via Bodyslam+) suggests the switch could take place within the next few weeks.

This would not be the first time WWE SmackDown has reverted to a shorter format. The show previously moved back from three hours to two in August 2025 after a similar temporary expansion.

As for Strowman’s series, a premiere date for the second season has yet to be officially announced. The show was confirmed to be in production in January 2026.

Everything on the Menu follows Strowman as he visits different cities and samples entire menus at local restaurants. Its first season debuted on the USA Network in October 2025, during a period when Strowman was no longer part of WWE following his earlier release that year.

WrestleZone provides live coverage of WWE SmackDown on Fridays.
