WWE’s roster changes after WrestleMania 42 are going strong, and now one rising NXT star is getting a big chance. Blake Monroe has just gotten the official call-up to the main roster.
Her call-up is part of a bigger strategy. WWE has been bringing in fresh talent to keep things exciting. Names like Ethan Page and Sol Ruca have already appeared on RAW, and Joe Hendry is also expected to join soon. Then there’s Trick Williams, of course, who just won the US title at WrestleMania 42.
Blake Monroe called up to the WWE main roster on SmackDown
Monroe’s main roster call-up comes during a period where WWE is updating its roster and storylines. While her exact debut date hasn’t come to light yet, WWE has already started promoting her with a social media campaign that shows off her new persona.
Known as “The Glamour,” Monroe was introduced through a short hype video that compiled her fashion-style visuals with her in-ring highlights. WWE presented her as a beauty with grace who “will probably punch you in the face.”
The video ended with Monroe’s catchphrase, “Nothing runs brighter and darker than Blake Monroe,” as the “Blake Monroe Coming Soon” graphic and logo appear.
Monroe joined WWE NXT in June 2025 and quickly made an impact. At first, she teamed with Jordynne Grace, but she soon turned heel by attacking her, which helped build her character.
Monroe won the NXT Women’s North American Championship at Halloween Havoc in October 2025, defeating Zaria. Her title run lasted 52 days before she lost it to Thea Hail in a match that got fans talking due to a botched finish.
Apart from titles, she stayed active in storylines. She was part of the Vanity Project group and had several rivalries that showed her skills both as a wrestler and a character. Her last big NXT appearance was at Stand & Deliver in April 2026, where she challenged Tatum Paxley and lost.
