Kevin Nash Says ICE Concerns May Have Impacted WWE WrestleMania Attendance

Kevin Nash has revealed how ICE concerns could have impacted international fan attendance during WWE WrestleMania weekend.

Over the past few months, tensions around ICE have increased in the U.S.A, drawing attention at wrestling events as well. Back in February, a loud “F**k ICE” chant broke out at an AEW Dynamite event during a match involving MJF and Brody King.

Now, Kevin Nash has spoken about how those same concerns played out during WrestleMania 42 weekend. He noticed that international fan turnout at WrestleCon was noticeably lower than usual, and he believes the current U.S.A political climate is directly responsible.

Kevin Nash says fewer international fans attended WrestleMania due to ICE concerns

Speaking on his Kliq This podcast, Kevin Nash breaks down why the signing lines at WrestleCon felt different this year. He worked signings across multiple days during WrestleMania 42 weekend in Las Vegas. From the very first day, he said the crowds had a different feel.

“I don’t hear a British, Scottish, Irish, Australian. I don’t hear anybody’s fu*king accent except Americans because nobody in the fu*king world, including wrestling fans, is going to fu*king come to our country and go through our customs and ICE and bullsh*t. And we’re not exactly the darlings on Earth right now. So you don’t even have to fu*king worry about tariffs when the country is in the third. I guess it would be the fourth Reich.”

He was then asked whether the drop in international representation was noticeable.

“I couldn’t have most times that I’ve signed during the four hours, it wasn’t because I didn’t have people in front of me. I just didn’t have a line of people in front of me.”

“So I could take my time because I could look and I say, ‘All right, I got six people. I can spend a minute and a half with each person or two minutes.’ Instead of when you look and there’s no fu*king end of the line. You know you got two hours left, you’re like, no personalizations, we gotta fu*king go. So it was it felt it wasn’t as bad as like the year after COVID, but it kind of had a little bit of that feel.”
