Randy Orton wants to RKO a major name.
For more than two decades, Randy Orton has left his adversaries lying from the three most dangerous letters in sports entertainment, RKO. Still, there is one man who’s notably escaped that fate so far.
Speaking with The Schmo, Orton revealed which WWE name he’s most eager to drop with an RKO.
“I’ve RKOed everybody I want to RKO, man. I’ve RKO’ed Meatloaf. I’ve RKOed everybody I want to RKO. I haven’t RKOed The Rock, and if for some reason all the stars were to align…Stone Cold’s on that list, but I think yeah, Rock would be at the top, for sure,” he said.
Under the WWE banner, Orton and The Rock have only shared the ring on two occasions, one being a number one contenders battle royal on WWE Raw in 2003. The following year, Orton and Rock then stood on opposite sides of a three-on-two handicap match at WrestleMania 20. Orton’s team — consisting of himself, Ric Flair, and Batista — picked up the win after the young “Legend Killer” laid out Mick Foley with an RKO, then pinned him.
Excluding time off for injuries, Orton has remained a full-time competitor for WWE since then. The Rock, on the other hand, has weaved in an out of WWE in the years since, with his most recent match taking place on night one of WrestleMania 40. The Rock later appeared at WWE Elimination Chamber 2025 to set up the heel turn of John Cena, Orton’s long-time rival.
