Paul Heyman Calls Out WWE Production Over Brock Lesnar Presentation on RAW

Paul Heyman didn’t just step onto WWE RAW on April 20, 2026 — he stepped in with something to say. It quickly became clear this wasn’t going to be a routine post-WrestleMania appearance.

The show, held in the aftermath of WrestleMania 42, featured a tribute package honoring Brock Lesnar following his loss to Oba Femi and apparent retirement.

While the video drew “Thank you, Brock” chants from the crowd, it also sparked an unexpected reaction from the man who knows Lesnar better than most.

Paul Heyman slams WWE production over Brock Lesnar “Now” placement

Appearing alongside The Vision, Heyman opened his promo by addressing what he saw as a major misstep.

Visibly emotional, he called out WWE’s production team for placing Lesnar in the “Now” portion of the company’s signature “Then, Now, Forever” intro.

Heyman didn’t hold back. He demanded that Lesnar be moved to the “Forever” section, insisting that his legacy goes beyond the present. According to Heyman, Lesnar is not just part of WWE’s timeline — he’s etched into it. In his words, Lesnar will “forever be the baddest [blank] in WWE.”

The reaction came just one night after WrestleMania 42 in Las Vegas, where Lesnar lost to Femi in a decisive opening match on Night 2. Following the bout, Lesnar removed his gloves and boots in the ring — a long-standing signal of retirement in wrestling — which WWE reinforced with a career-spanning tribute package on RAW.

Heyman’s emotional tone suggested the moment hit harder than expected. While introducing The Vision, his focus repeatedly shifted back to Lesnar, highlighting the end of their long-standing on-screen partnership.

WWE has not officially announced Lesnar’s retirement. However, the presentation — and Heyman’s reaction — suggests the company is treating it as the end of an era.

As RAW moves forward, the spotlight may shift. Nevertheless, as Heyman made clear, some legacies don’t fade — they get moved to “Forever.”
