Cena recently shared a message on X, saying he feels like he has found his “second mountain.” He tweeted- “I think I’ve found my ‘second mountain’ (thank you @DavidBrooks224) in WWE. I’ll do everything I can to make Club WWE above and beyond anything we’ve done before. Time to go to work!!!
His message also referred to David Brooks’ book ‘The Second Mountain: The Quest for a Moral Life,’ which talks about life beyond selfish interests. It talks about one’s purpose and giving it back to others.
That idea fits Cena’s situation well. He has already achieved every possible thing in WWE and has also successfully etched his name in Hollywood. So now he seems focused on giving back and creating something for the fans.
This isn’t just a promotion. Instead, Cena wants to improve the fan experience and build something more engaging and community-driven. He even hinted at new ideas that fans haven’t seen before.
WWE has already opened a waitlist for Club WWE. It looks like this won’t be just a regular kind of membership. It could keep growing and changing over time, especially with Cena’s input. There is likely a lot more planned behind the scenes.
For Cena, though, it seems more personal. His first “mountain” was about his never-seen 17 status, and his “second mountain” would be all about giving back to fans.
