A new tension between Jey Uso and Cam’ron has grabbed attention just before WrestleMania 42, after their viral altercation during a podcast. Now, Uso has come up with an explanation of the incident.
Uso appeared on the “It Is What It Is” segment of the Come And Talk 2 Me podcast with Cam’ron and Ma$e. From the beginning, Uso felt that Cam’ron wasn’t taking him seriously, and things only got worse as they kept talking.
At one point, Uso was asked where he ranks in the famous Anoa’i wrestling family. He stayed humble and mentioned legends like Yokozuna and Dwayne Johnson while also acknowledging Roman Reigns. Uso said he wouldn’t put himself above Reigns, but Cam’ron replied bluntly, “Yeah, because you’re not,” which made things awkward.
The tension grew when Cam’ron joked about Uso’s WrestleMania match being on Night 1. He indirectly mentioned that only Sunday matches really matter, which annoyed Uso.
Soon after, Jey Uso decided to walk away from the interview. But things got physical when Cam’ron kept talking. Uso came back, grabbed him, and it looked like he threw a punch before others stepped in.
Jey Uso says ‘respect is everything’ after Cam’ron incident
Later, Uso spoke about the incident on the Nightcap podcast. He said the whole issue was about respect. He explained that he had asked Cam’ron multiple times to be respectful, but felt ignored.
“Man I know he’s gonna see this. Man, Uce, respect is everything. I mean, I don’t know Uce, I was respectful, we’re likeable people. First of, I met him. He was on motor damn wheelchair. I’m like, ‘What’s wrong with you?’ You know, the vibe was a little off, man. And maybe, I still got love for Cam’ron and the podcast,” Uso said.
He added that since Cam’ron didn’t listen, things got out of hand. “But I just told him a couple of times, ‘Be respectful, man.’ He didn’t want to be respectful. He had to feel that (showing his fists). Yeet,” Uso said.
Uso also posted an Instagram story after the incident. Tagging the podcast, he wrote, “yall boy good?” It was his first public reaction after all that happened.

Whether the whole thing was real or part of a storyline remains to be seen. As of now, Jey Uso is set to team up with Jimmy Uso and LA Knight against Logan Paul, Austin Theory, and IShowSpeed at WrestleMania 42 Night 1.
