WWE Fans Divided on Kali Armstrong’s Finisher After NXT Revenge Debut

Kali Armstrong made her first official in-ring appearance at the April 14, 2026 episode of WWE NXT Revenge and beat Skylar Raye in a quite dominant fashion. But despite the win, it was her finishing move that divided fans’ reactions.

Armstrong won the match in under four minutes. She controlled things early, using her strength to throw Raye around and stay in charge. Raye did fight back with some quick moves, including a tilt-a-whirl Stroke and a satellite DDT that almost changed the course of the match.

However, Armstrong’s power was too much. After stopping a move from the top rope, she hit a scoop powerslam and then followed it up with her finisher, the “Kali Konnection,” and secured the win.

Fans react to Kali Armstrong’s finisher following her NXT debut

Armstrong’s finisher is basically a running pounce or a shoulder tackle, and fans immediately started criticizing and debating about it online. Some fans didn’t like it, saying it looked too simple and was not unique enough. Many felt it was just a basic shoulder tackle. There is nothing spectacular about it.

On the other hand, some fans supported Armstrong. They said the move fits her powerful style and depends a lot on how it’s performed and sold in the ring. Raye’s selling of the move also got praise, with fans saying she made it look more impactful.

It’s worth noting that Armstrong has used this finisher before. She used it during her time as WWE EVOLVE Women’s Champion, where she held the title for 140 days before losing it to Kendal Grey. So while the move works, it’s getting more attention now that she is on a bigger stage like NXT.

This kind of reaction isn’t unusual. Many wrestlers change or improve their finishers over time, especially early in their careers. Armstrong could easily do the same if she wants.
