Vince McMahon’s possible WWE return has become a talking point again, especially with Ari Emanuel’s influence in the company.
Emanuel gained full control after WWE merged into TKO Group Holdings in 2023. At first, McMahon stayed involved as executive chairman. But that did not last long. After serious allegations came out in 2024, he stepped away completely.
Emanuel isn’t part of the creative team, but fans have already seen his influence all over WWE programming. From John Cena’s heel turn and Travis Scott showing up on WWE television to Pat McAfee getting inserted into the Randy Orton and Cody Rhodes storyline, these were not Triple H’s ideas, as they came from above.
Amid the current direction in WWE storylines, a return of Vince McMahon is not off the table, according to Bryan Alvarez.
Bryan Alvarez says Vince McMahon’s return is not impossible amid current WWE direction
Bryan Alvarez addressed the topic on Wrestling Observer Live and did not rule anything out. He speculated that if McMahon’s legal case goes to arbitration, it quietly disappears from public view.
He said, “I could see, at the very least, them bringing back Vince McMahon for the Hall of Fame in Saudi. I could see that. Yes. What a bypass. Now, if the judge rules, no, no, no. I mean, this ain’t going to arbitration. This is going to be [a] civil suit, [it] will continue on. Then, obviously, I think that it’s not going to trial.”
“There’s no chance it’s going to trial. They will pay an incredible amount of money, and they will settle it. If it doesn’t go to arbitration, and the world knows that Vince pays off hundreds of millions of dollars or whatever, it’s like, I can’t even imagine the Saudi Hall of Fame. How do you bring this guy back at all?”
“Now, as far as, like, if this goes to arbitration, will they do significantly more with Vince? Well, I mean, I don’t know. But I do know that Triple H seems to be in perpetual fear for his career. I know that, you know, I know people want to blame him for everything.”
He also hinted at what is happening behind the scenes. He said, “But that we’re going to turn John Cena heel. And, you know, that was not a Triple H call. That was something that was requested from above. And it’s the same thing with this Pat McAfee thing.”
He continued, “It was something that was requested from above by Ari Emanuel to try to get this Pat McAfee over and try to sell tickets for the show. And, I mean, guys, nothing’s impossible right now, okay? Nothing is impossible. Do I think there’s any change that’s going to happen prior to the June decision? Absolutely not. After that, depending on what the decision is, I don’t think there’s anything off the table.”
As for McMahon’s return, Alvarez made one thing clear. Nothing changes before the June legal decision. After that, everything depends on the outcome.
