Brody King has addressed his absence from AEW Dynamite this week.
All Elite Wrestling will present Dynamite from Rogers Place later tonight. A featured match on the card will see Darby Allin team with Bandido and “Jungle” Jack Perry against The Don Callis Family (Andrade El Idolo, Mark Davis, and Konosuke Takeshita).
The trios match was originally set to feature King teaming with Allin and Perry. However, he was pulled from the show in the lead-up, which led to speculation among fans regarding his absence.
The former House of Black member has now broken his silence. In a post on X, King confirmed that he will miss Dynamite due to personal reasons, specifically to attend a friend’s funeral. That friend is Harm’s Way guitarist and HardLore podcast host Bo Lueders, who passed away last week at age 38.
“I promise I would much rather be at Dynamite than having to attend my friends funeral. Thank you to Bandido for being the best partner and stepping up in my absence and thank you to Tony for giving me the ability to be with my friends and family at this time. #Boluedersforver,” he posted.
