Netflix Expected To Be Front-Runner For Pat McAfee Show Broadcast Rights — Report

Netflix is reportedly the prime contender to secure broadcast rights for The Pat McAfee Show.

According to reports, the streaming giant has emerged as the frontrunner to land McAfee’s popular podcast as his next deal window begins to take shape over the next 12 to 14 months.

Ari Emanuel is reportedly involved in navigating the deal. He is also said to have made the call to include Pat McAfee in the ongoing WWE storyline between Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton on the road to WrestleMania 42.

A move to Netflix has long been rumored. Matt Belloni and Lucas Shaw previously said the former NFL punter would be “crazy” not to explore the opportunity during a June 2025 episode of The Town podcast.

“They don’t want to characterize it (as poaching YouTubers) because they want to be seen as ‘premium,’ not just, ‘We’re just going to be the video home of the thing you already get for free,” Belloni said. “So they’re going to put something (extra) behind it. But there’ll be a version of a McAfee on Netflix pretty soon.”

WWE storyline sees Pat McAfee join WrestleMania 42 feud

Pat McAfee became part of a high-profile feud on the road to WrestleMania 42 this past Friday.

On SmackDown, McAfee appeared in the ring during Cody Rhodes’ brawl with Randy Orton. The popular commentator hit a low blow on the Undisputed Champion before revealing himself as the mystery caller.

McAfee then cut a promo on Rhodes and the WWE roster as Orton systematically destroyed the Undisputed WWE Champion. However, many fans found the commentator’s involvement underwhelming.
