AEW Cancels Longtime Podcast Series

All Elite Wrestling is saying goodbye to one of its long-time podcast series.

In 2020, the company launched AEW Unrestricted, a podcast producing talent interviews and pay-per-view previews, with broadcaster Tony Schiavone and referee Aubrey Edwards as hosts. Fast forward to 2026, the show is now ending its run with more than 300 episodes to its name.

Aubrey Edwards and Will Washington, the current hosts, broke the news on Thursday with an episode titled “The Final Bell: The Last AEW Unrestricted.”

“AEW Unrestricted signs off with hosts Ref Aubrey Edwards and Will Washington reflecting on the moments, memories, and matches that defined the official podcast of All Elite Wrestling,” read the description. “They share behind-the-scenes stories from the show’s beginnings during the pandemic, how the podcast became a gateway for talent and fans alike, and what it meant to tell those stories week after week. Aubrey and Will shout out the people who made it all happen, including Tony Schiavone and Tony Khan, while revisiting favorite interviews, unforgettable episodes, and the impact Unrestricted had on AEW’s growth. Plus, they explain why now is the right time to close this chapter, what’s next for AEW podcasting, and why this isn’t goodbye…it’s just the end of this era.”

Despite the conclusion of Unrestricted, Washington and Edwards made it clear that more AEW-related podcast content is on its way in the near future. Edwards described it as “exciting stuff.” Where exactly that content will land has to be seen.

Outside of Unrestricted, Edwards continues to serve as a referee for the wrestling promotion. Washington joined AEW in 2023 as the Wrestling Administration Coordinator.
