Brock Lesnar’s current WWE run might not last very long.
Ahead of his match against Oba Femi at WWE WrestleMania 42, Brock Lesnar appeared on Barstool Sports’ Spittin Chiclets podcast. He returned to WWE at SummerSlam 2025 for the first time since being named in Janel Grant’s trafficking lawsuit against Vince McMahon and the promotion. During the conversation, he said he returned to the company so he could feed his kids, joking that his grocery bills are huge.
Brock Lesnar also noted that he’s grateful to be back in WWE, teasing that it’s only for a “short time.”
“Sh*t, I went back to work so I could feed my kids. You guys should see my grocery bill. I had left the company years ago, and I’m grateful that I’m back for a short time here so, I’m really grateful for all the opportunities that I’ve had in my life,” Brock Lesnar said. [H/T Fightful]
John Cena hinted that Brock Lesnar could retire soon
During his appearance on the INSIGHT with Chris Van Vliet podcast, WWE legend John Cena addressed getting squashed by Brock Lesnar at Wrestlepalooza last year. During the conversation, he teased that the Beast Incarnate could “ride into the sunset” in Minnesota.
His comments made fans believe that Brock Lesnar could have his last match at WWE SummerSlam 2026, which will take place in Minneapolis, Minnesota, this August. He has significant ties to Minnesota, as it’s where he made his name as a collegiate wrestler at the University of Minnesota.
“I’ve been in this seat before. It’s like I’m always in the seat when Brock comes back, Rock after Miami, who’s the next guy? SummerSlam with Roman, here he comes again. After he beats Taker for the streak, I’ve sat in this seat before. You have to figure out who gets the shine that night and if, in his return again, only my perspective. This attraction where we are going to build until he goes into the sunset, which is, I think, in Minnesota? Creatively, it’s very soon. To create a mountain to climb for someone, you have to build the mountain,” Cena said about Brock Lesnar.
