What’s next for Hangman Page in AEW?
Adam Page said he would drop his world title aspirations if he failed to beat MJF at AEW Revolution. The Cowboy walked into Sunday’s Texas Deathmatch main event confident in his chances.
MJF, meanwhile, ended up on the Muta Scale due to the heavy lacerations on his face. As for Hangman, he had his cheek pierced with a syringe in a gory callback to his spot with Swerve Strickland at AEW All Out 2024.
The closing stretch saw MJF counter Hangman Page’s Buckshot Lariat with a forearm strike before choking him with a dog collar chain. An unconscious Page hit the camera lens and fell to the floor, unable to answer the ten-count. Having decisively vanquished his bitter rival, MJF now sits atop AEW without a clear challenger.
Hangman Page is set to take some time off from AEW
As for Adam Page, a new update from Fightful, via Fightful Select, suggests fans may not see him in the company for the foreseeable future.
“All Elite Wrestling sources indicated to Fightful Select’s Sean Ross Sapp this week that Hangman Page is set to take some time off from AEW TV. We were not told if that was happening immediately, or if he would appear on Dynamite in the coming weeks. However, the active plan is for Hangman to take time off.”
The report further cited a source noting that the “length of this absence was ‘indeterminate.’ Hangman’s absence “could be weeks or months.” Page last took a couple of months off following AEW Revolution 2024.
