Bayley said she is proud that her surprise appearance at AAA Rey De Reyes stayed completely secret before the show.
At the event, Bayley shocked fans when she answered an open challenge from Reina de Reinas Champion Flammer. The two had a strong match, but Bayley came up short after interference from Lady Maravilla and La Hiedra helped Flammer retain her title.
Fans didn’t expect Bayley at all, and that’s exactly what made the moment special for the former WWE Women’s Champion.
Bayley explains how her AAA appearance stayed secret
Speaking on WWE RAW Recap, Bayley said she loved the experience and felt honored to be part of such a big show. She said, “That was the best. I love wrestling in Mexico… the fact that I got asked to do that was an honor.”
She also talked about how difficult it is to keep surprises in wrestling, but this time they pulled it off. “It’s hard in this business to actually keep it a secret, so I was very excited to be able to hide from everybody and really show up where literally nobody knew I was there.”
Bayley said the fan reaction made everything worth it, even though she lost the match. “I was personally very overwhelmed by the response, and it just made everything so worth it. I could be upset about the loss and those little cheaters who I’m not gonna let them get away with.”
She continued, “I have their numbers. But that is what was most important to me that no matter what, everywhere in the world, people recognize how much and what I feel about this and that I don’t care if I do it here, I don’t care if I do it there, I don’t care if I do it in TNA. I care about this and I will always give my whole heart to them.”
