After being away for months, Will Ospreay returned at AEW Revolution, and now, the former two-time AEW International Champion has finally revealed his in-ring return date.
Ospreay had been out since AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door 2025 in August 2025. His return happened right after Jon Moxley defended the AEW Continental Championship against Konosuke Takeshita at Revolution. Just as Moxley was celebrating, a video played showing Ospreay’s sci-fi-styled recovery.
Soon after, Ospreay ran toward Moxley and the Death Riders. He hit his big moves and stood tall, showing that he has fully recovered.
This all goes back to Forbidden Door 2025, where Moxley and the Death Riders attacked Ospreay inside a steel cage after a brutal match. That storyline injury led to Ospreay taking time off and having neck surgery.
Will Ospreay To Compete for First Time Since AEW Revolution
Now, Tony Khan has immediately set up his next step. The AEW star will be back in the ring on the March 18 episode of AEW Dynamite, where he will face Blake Christian. This will be his first match since his injury and surgery.
Khan shared the news on social media. He tweeted, “After captivating the wrestling world returning at #AEWRevolution Sunday night and targeting @JonMoxley, Will Ospreay will return to the ring vs Blake Christian TOMORROW!”
Ospreay also reshared Khan’s post with the caption, “Back at it again This Wednesday.”
He also revealed details about his recovery earlier. He had surgery on September 17, 2025, was cleared to compete on February 25, 2026, and officially returned on March 15 at Revolution. This shows he has been ready for a while.
With unfinished business against Jon Moxley and the Death Riders, and now a match confirmed, Ospreay’s comeback is already shaping up to be a big storyline. All eyes are on AEW Dynamite, where “The Aerial Assassin” returns to action.
