Eric Bischoff Reacts to WWE 2K26 Players Using Him for In-Game Exploit

WWE 2K26 has been received quite well so far by gamers. Players praised the improvements, but they also found a strange exploit that involved Eric Bischoff. What started as a smart trick got so out of hand that the developers had to step in to stop it.

Before the game was officially released on March 13, players with Early Access already felt it was one of the best WWE games since the SmackDown vs. Raw days. But the excitement dropped a bit because of the new Ringside Pass system, which works like a battle pass with both free and paid reward tiers.

Unlike older WWE games, where players could unlock everything through a Season Pass, this time, they have to earn rewards by gaining RXP. Even though the pass doesn’t expire, many players felt the progress was too slow.

Because of this, players found a trick. Eric Bischoff is WWE 2K26’s lowest-ranked fighter. By adjusting game settings and making Bischoff’s manager character submit very quickly, players started earning RXP much faster.

WWE 2K26 developers fixed the exploit with a recent patch

The developers at 2K reacted quickly. In patch 1.04, they made leveling up easier but also fixed the exploit. Now, matches that end in under 60 seconds still give basic RXP, but no extra rewards. The ringside report states-

“If a match is completed faster than 60 seconds, players will receive completion RXP, but not additional win bonuses. We know you’re enjoying making Eric Bischoff tap out but let’s give poor “Eazy E” a breather.”

Meanwhile, Bischoff himself reacted in a fun way during an interview (via 83weeks TikTok). When asked about the whole situation, Bischoff said,

“Well, I don’t hold on to memorabilia, accolades, that kind of thing, it’s never been my thing. But that’s what I would probably hand in my office because what it really demonstrates is how much freaking heat I still have. I mean, come on, when everybody wants to take down Easy E, it’s the heat, it’s the magic. And yes, it still resonates to this very day. I love it. It’s awesome.”

Some players still feel that the system is too slow and pushes people to either grind massively or spend more money to skip tiers. Using the exploit felt more like fixing a problem than cheating for them.
