Ricochet Apologizes For Making Offensive Comment To AEW Fan

Ricochet says he is sincerely sorry for hurting a fan’s feelings by mocking them for having multiple sclerosis.

The former National Champion took an in-character dig at a fan with MS after AEW Revolution, which did not go over well. AEW posted a video of his backstage meltdown after losing at the event. One fan named Sandi replied, poking fun at Ricochet’s acting abilities.

“His acting hasn’t improved,” she wrote.

Ricochet replied to Sandi’s post and wrote, “I’m glad you got MS.”

Fans immediately criticized him on social media, claiming he was out of line. Many people said that there’s a difference between being a heel and going too far, like Ricochet did when he mocked someone for a disease.

Ricochet apologizes for his post insulting a fan who has MS

The AEW star attempted to defend himself, noting fans say “the most vile things” to him and his wife. He said many have wished death on him and later added that he was only trying to point out the hypocrisy of fans on social media.

Ricochet has since deleted the initial post that insulted the fan, and now he has issued a public apology.

“I took out my hatred for the IWC on Sandi, and inadvertently others who are effected by MS. She didnt deserve it and for that, I sincerely apologize,” Ricochet wrote on Twitter/X. “Moving forward I’ll do better.”

MS, or multiple sclerosis, is a chronic autoimmune disease that affects the central nervous system. Multiple sclerosis disrupts communication between the brain, spinal cord and body, and symptoms include mobility issues, vision loss and fatigue.
