Ronda Rousey Makes Shocking Appearance At AEW Revolution

Ronda Rousey made a surprise appearance at AEW Revolution on Sunday night.

Toni Storm had just earned a hard-fought win over Marina Shafir at Revolution. She was basking in the applause from the crowd on the ramp when the crowd erupted. Ronda Rousey then jumped in the ring and called Storm out, daring her to come to the ring.

Storm smirked, showing she was up for the challenge, and strutted back down to the ring towards Rousey. Before they could get physical, a bunch of security guards ran down to the ring to separate them. Storm was backed into the corner, where Shafir took a cheap shot from behind, much to Rousey’s delight.

As noted by the commentary team, Rousey is set to make her MMA return against Gina Carano at the Intuit Dome on May 16. This is also Rousey’s first pro-wrestling-related appearance in more than two years. Rousey and Shafir defeated Athena and Billie Starkz at a November 17, 2023 Ring of Honor television taping.

In September 2025, Rousey said that she believed pro wrestling was behind her. She said that she largely stayed in WWE because she got to team with Shayna Baszler, who was also her final opponent at SummerSlam in 2023. Despite Rousey saying she was done with wrestling at the time, Baszler told Chris Van Vliet in December that she believed Rousey would never be done with pro wrestling.

Judging by her appearance at AEW Revolution, it’s clear that Ronda Rousey has a bit more to offer pro wrestling, even if it’s a one-off for now.
