WWE Superstar Maxxine Dupri says she had to quit X/Twitter after reading hateful comments.
Former WWE Women’s Intercontinental Champion Maxxine Dupri was a recent guest on Logan Paul’s IMPAULSIVE podcast. During the conversation, she opened up about the hardest thing to deal with after becoming a WWE star.
Maxxine Dupri named the travel schedule, being away from home, and learning to wrestle as an adult as things that were hard for her. Apart from these, she also noted that social media hate from some wrestling fans can be difficult to deal with. Dupri stated that X/Twitter has the most online trolls. Although she tries to avoid reading negative comments, she occasionally sees some, which she cites as the reason for leaving the platform.
“The part that actually is like, it’s still challenging, but the part that’s truly hard, like mentally, is being away from home, and you’re probably so numb to this, but for me sometimes if I catch a glimpse of something online, I don’t do well with that. So that’s why I gotta stay off X.” When asked what kind of comments people are making online, Maxxine Dupri said, “I don’t look. I’m on Instagram and TikTok. It’s Twitter where they’re really there.
After losing the Women’s Intercontinental Championship to Becky Lynch, Dupri has started a rivalry with her former mentor, Natalya, who cost her the title.
Maxxine Dupri isn’t the only WWE star to deal with online hate as a former NXT Women’s North American Champion posted a tearful video, calling out the disturbing social media behavior by some fans.
